Happy Blanket

Here's a picture of Brian with his new happy blanket from my mom...it's a belated Christmas present, but it arrived just in time. Brian seems to have had a reaction to a new blood pressure medicine and was feeling pretty awful for a couple of days. The new blanket kept him cozy and comfy while he was recuperating :) After a quick switch of the med, he is finally feeling better...yay!!

Post-op Check Up

We went to Portland today to see Dr. Barry. He was very happy with how Brian is healing up. He also had good news about the removed kidneys...no evidence of any remaining histoplasmosis was found, and the mass found in the left kidney was a "benign bump" :) We'll make another trip up next month for one more check up. Dr. Barry will also be referring Brian back to the transplant and infectious disease clinics for follow-ups the in the near future.


Here's the best part of the trip...thanks to our Country Hills friends!!
